Respite House

What is the respite house?

Respite care provides short-term relief for primary caregivers while the person they care for using the facilities. It can be arranged for several days. Care can be provided at home (if possible), in the community facilities (like Respite House in Crib Point), or at an adult day centre.

About our “Rose Cottage” Respite House

“Rose Cottage” Respite House in Crib Point, opened in 2021, is a charming cottage with a short distance to Hastings Marina, its main street with cafes, restaurants and shops as well as Somers and Balnarring beaches. Our Respite offers vulnerable people from our community day and night stay away from home.

The cottage includes a fully equipped kitchen, 2 living rooms, 4 single bedrooms and 1 double bedroom with split-system air-conditioning. There are 3 modern bathrooms with showers. Our outdoor deck at the rear of the cottage is the perfect place for an outdoor meal or recreational activities. Our community vegetable garden provides our guests with fresh veggies and fruits as well as a great entertainment in the fresh air.

To be able to join Respite Program (Flexible Respite, Centre Based Respite), eligible clients should be registered in the My Aged Care and receive a special referral code for this type of services.

HCP and NDIS clients are available for this type of services. If client is a Home Care Packages (HCP) or National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) holder, no referral code is needed. Your Case Manager can assist you with joining Flexible Respite or Centre Based Respite Program.
